Diet. The black rhino has a pointed upper lip, while its white relative has a squared lip. Black rhinos are browsers that get most of their sustenance from eating trees, bushes, plants and fruit.
Lifecycle. The black rhino can live up to 35-50 years. Most of the black rhinos live in captivity. The rhinos that don't live in captivity are being poached.
Reproduction. Reproduction is a slow process for rhinos since the mother will only carry one calf at a time. It's between 14 and 18 months (or about 475 days) until the calf comes out of the mom.
